Bruno Guimaraes starred for Newcastle on Saturday, and by Monday he was training for the World Cup alongside Lucas Paqueta.
The midfielder has been named in Brazil’s 26-man squad for the tournament in Qatar. It will be the first time he has represented his nation at a major tournament.
Bruno fully deserves his callup, and it was no surprise to see him be selected. His form for Newcastle has been exceptional, helping the Magpies up to third in the Premier League.
But now Bruno must turn his attentions to the international stage, and he has already been seen having a laugh with his Brazilian colleagues.
Tite’s side aren’t in Qatar yet. They are currently working together in Italy, and their World Cup campaign is not due to start until November 24th.
Brazil’s Premier League players have now linked up with the group, and that includes Bruno. He has been pictured alongside Tottenham ace Richarlison, Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli, Liverpool star Fabinho and his ‘best friend‘ Paqueta.
Obviously someone said something funny, as Bruno, Fabinho and Paqueta are having a right laugh. Maybe Bruno was reminding the others that Steve Bruce had called Eddie Howe the ‘fella from Bournemouth’ who ‘got a team relegated’.

It has been a relentless six weeks for Bruno, who has overcame injury problems to star during Newcastle’s exceptional run.
He has been a star performer pretty much every week, and played a big part in the Magpies’ success this season.
And now he will want to take that form to the World Cup. It will be interesting to see whether or not Tite starts the 24-year-old. He surely has to after the way he’s been playing.
Bruno is enjoying great success in black and white, but could be on the brink of something even more special. Brazil are the favourites for the entire tournament, meaning Bruno has an opportunity to return to Newcastle as a World Cup winner.
They begin their World Cup campaign a week on Thursday, when they face Serbia in Group G.
