Newcastle United have been told they will have to pay big money to sign Jorgen Strand Larsen from Wolves.
Amid their search for a striker, Newcastle are interested in buying Strand Larsen from Wolves. He is the latest forward to be linked with a move to Tyneside, at a time when recruiting a goalscorer is absolutely essential.
However, there is a problem. Wolves do not want to sell Strand Larsen, insisting that a deal will only be possible if a huge offer arrives.
That sounds worrying for Newcastle United, but Wolverhampton Wanderers fans believe that a move away from Molineux could still be on the cards.

Wolves fans think Newcastle United can get Jorgen Strand Larsen for £40million
In the wake of news that Wolves will only sell Strand Larsen for a huge offer, a portion of their fans do not think it will actually take an earth-shattering amount of money for Newcastle to tempt their owners.
They have given their verdict on X, with Wolves fans concerned that around £40million could be enough for Newcastle to sign the Norway international.
One Wolves fan wrote: “He is [for sale]! 40m he’d be gone.”
“35-40m and he’s gone,” added another supporter.
This Wolves fan commented: “He’ll be gone for 40m+.”
“Huge offer being £40m,” added another concerned Wolves supporter.
Jorgen Strand Larsen could be cheaper than Newcastle United’s current striker
A deal worth around £40million would be hugely appealing to Newcastle United. However, there is nothing to suggest that he is actually available for that amount. That is just the fears that Wolves fans have.
A £40million transfer would make Strand Larsen one of Newcastle’s most expensive signings ever, equalling the fee that Joelinton cost in 2019.
It would also be slightly less than the price of Newcastle’s current striker, with Anthony Gordon costing £45million from Everton in 2023. He is having to play through the middle for the Magpies right now, with Alexander Isak refusing to play and Will Osula not trusted.
While Gordon could become a permanent striker in the future, he is better used out wide at this moment in time. It is absolutely essential that another striker arrives, and Strand Larsen is certainly an interesting option for Eddie Howe.
