Alexander Isak has already sent a clear message on his Newcastle United future amid fresh links with a move to Liverpool.
Isak is perhaps Newcastle United’s best player and, as such, has attracted interest from elsewhere.
Liverpool are interested in Isak and are reportedly ready to offer a British record transfer fee to sign the Sweden international.
That will cause concern on Tyneside. While Isak’s Newcastle contract doesn’t expire until 2028, the idea that a club could force the Newcastle United owners into a decision is hardly welcome.
It’s obvious why Liverpool would want Isak. He’s one of Europe’s elite marksmen and would arguably walk into any squad in world football right now.
Newcastle are lucky to have him but, thankfully, he appears to be happy at St James’ Park.

Alexander Isak said he was happy at Newcastle United
Speaking back in March shortly after Newcastle beat Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final, Isak confirmed he was happy at the club.
Rather than focus on his future, Isak said he wanted to concentrate on getting Newcastle back into the Champions League, which of course they duly did.

Speaking to Fotbollskanalen, he said: “There’s not much to say, really. I’ve commented on my situation and my security in Newcastle several times.
“It’s been written how much I love the city and the club, how well I feel there. I’m not thinking about the future. I just want to perform for Newcastle. Now we won the cup, but we want to finish strong and reach the Champions League games. That’s where my focus lies.”
Newcastle United could be about to sign the player to keep Alexander Isak happy
It would be nice to focus on the players Newcastle are signing this summer, rather than the ones who could be set to leave.
There is no suggestion Newcastle will cash in on Isak this summer, despite Liverpool reportedly readying what could be a huge bid.

Rather, the club look ready to build on having Isak in the Newcastle United squad. Transfer target Joao Pedro could build a dream partnership with Isak, with the Brazilian able to operate in a deeper attacking position.
Geordie Boot Boys understands Pedro is Newcastle United’s top target this summer, and the idea of pairing them up front together is seriously exciting.
Hopefully, next season sees Pedro line up alongside Isak.
