Newcastle United reportedly have Eddie Nketiah on their transfer shortlist.
The Telegraph have brought a report today about who the club are potentially targeting this month, as Eddie Howe seeks fresh faces to boost the club’s Premier League survival bid.

Apparently, Callum Wilson’s latest injury setback means it is now ‘certain’ that the club will move for a new striker.
Defenders are the priority for the club, but Newcastle are now light up top with Wilson sidelined.
Apparently, Arsenal youngster Eddie Nketiah is a player on Steve Nickson’s (head of recruitment) list.
Strikers had not featured prominently, but the picture has now changed at St. James’ Park.
Nketiah has refused to sign a new contract with the Gunners, and the club face losing him as a free agent at the end of the season.
It could be that Arsenal are open to a sale.

It would be interesting to see if Newcastle make a swoop for Nketiah, a man who actually broke Alan Shearer’s England U21s goalscoring record in 2020 when he scored his 14th goal.
Not long after that, Nketiah actually sat down with Shearer for an interview with The Athletic.
The Geordie legend said of Nketiah in that piece: “I see a finisher.”
There was recent evidence of that when the 22-year-old hit a hat-trick against Sunderland in the Carabao Cup.
Could Nketiah help fire Newcastle to Premier League safety?
Nketiah is clearly someone with an eye for goal.
His finishing against the Black Cats last month was impressive to say the least.
Shearer seems to like him based off the interview he did with him for The Athletic.

Shearer did also call him an ‘impressive young man’, after he soaked up every he had said and asked him questions at the end of the interview.
But, of course, Newcastle have got to ensure they sign the right players amid a very worrying situation.
Nketiah has big potential, but the fact is he hasn’t really ever been a regular for Arsenal is a slight concern.
His lack of experience may make him too big a risk.
