Three clubs are now monitoring the situation of one Newcastle United player who is up for sale this month.
Newcastle are in desperate need of funds to sign new players and therefore are looking to make some of their players available for transfer this month.
Callum Wilson has already attracted interest from Atletico Madrid and AC Milan, but now Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal are all keen on the striker, according to The Evening Standard.
‘Unbelievable’ Newcastle man is now available
Newcastle are now willing to part ways with Wilson if they can recoup almost all of the £20m that they paid for him when he signed from Bournemouth in the summer of 2020.
The 31-year-old has been ‘unbelievable‘ at times for Newcastle, particularly last season when he netted 18 Premier League goals, and is one of only two recognised strikers at the club.
However, because he has just 18 months left on his contract there is an expectation that he will leave within the next six months and that Newcastle will try to get as much money as they can for him.
Ideally they would not be selling to one of these three rival teams who could challenge Newcastle for a European spot this season, but that £18m fee could be massive in helping Newcastle sign a new player this month.

Newcastle’s squad could be stretched even further
The Magpies are already crying out for a new midfielder due to injuries to Joelinton, Joe Willock and Elliot Anderson while Sandro Tonali’s suspension doesn’t end until August.
Losing Wilson on top of that would be another big blow and put a lot of pressure on Alexander Isak who has also struggled with fitness issues in the 18 months that he’s been on Tyneside.
Of course, they can always enter the market for a new market but it would be a difficult one to pull off given how little time there may be left in the window by the time Wilson potentially departs.
January is already a tough market to get good value in anyway, but with days left Newcastle could be in a tricky position where they are forced to overspend.
