Stanley N’Soki could be the perfect signing for Newcastle

Newcastle have been in need of proper full-back competition for a number of seasons now, and a deal for PSG’s left-back Stanley N’Soki is in the offing, according to the Chronicle.

A deal for N’Soki could prove to be the perfect deal, as Newcastle continue their attempts to strengthen in a number of positions as the transfer window winds down.

The defender is only 20-years-old, and was always going to struggle to get plenty of game time in the French champions’ star-studded squad.

Newcastle have reportedly targeted the player for a number of transfer windows, and said to be available for a knock-down fee of £13.5 million, he could turn out to be an absolute bargain.

With just 10 days of the transfer window remaining, quite why Lee Charnley is haggling over the fee is baffling, and the reason he frustrates fans when doing potential deals.

If they have the transfer budget to spend they were allegedly promised, they should just pay the money, and get their man in.

A young player like N’soki would need time to settle, and he can only do that if they bring him in sooner, rather than later.

Steve Bruce’s preferred lineup makes Stanley N’Soki a priority signing

Given Steve Bruce’s apparent preference for a three centre-back formation – with Paul Dummett likely to be used in that position – N’soki could slot in at left wing-back, and ease the burden of Matt Ritchie, who played there last season.

At such a young age, he has Mike Ashley’s beloved potential for a high sell-on value, and it would appear to be a no-brainer to simply get the deal finalised.

With other targets also needing to be sought desperately, the time for haggling over a couple of million here and there is over.

The need for numbers is so great, the couple of million extra they pay will seem like nothing compared to what they could potentially lose if they do not get players in, and end up relegated.
