Valentino Lazaro is reportedly open to making a return to Newcastle United this summer.
According to the Chronicle, the Austria international is looking for another club.
He could make a return to St. James’ Park, and is set to be offered to the club.
The Chronicle report that sources close to the player have indicated he would be open to the move.
Lazaro, of course, spent the second half of 2020 with the Magpies.
But the club declined to make a permanent swoop for the 25-year-old.
He headed back to his parent club Inter Milan, who then loaned him out to Borussia Monchengladbach for 2020/21.
He made 28 apperances for the Bundesliga outfit, but wasn’t always a regular starter.
They opted not to make a permanent move for Lazaro, who made one appearance for his country against the Netherlands at Euro 2020.
Now, the star’s agent will carefully listen to offers for his client.
Lazaro should be re-signed
He didn’t really do too much last time out, but Newcastle should consider making another move for Lazaro.
The star’s versatility could come in very handy.
A lot of supporters felt that he should have been given more game time during his last spell.
Upon signing him last time Steve Bruce said (nufc.co.uk): “Valentino is a quality player who’ll add to us in attacking areas of the field, where we need to improve. He can play in a few positions but he is a natural winger with an excellent delivery.”
Clearly he believes him to be a good player and so if he’s available for another loan, the club should look into it since funds are tight.
