Newcastle United have reportedly added Ruben Loftus-Cheek to their transfer shortlist.
90min claimed earlier this week that the Magpies are eyeing the Chelsea midfielder.

The main focus of their article is actually on Ross Barkley, with Newcastle, Leeds United and Burnley supposedly interested.
But it’s also claimed Loftus-Cheek features on Newcastle’s list.
That is despite the player actually coming back into the picture at Stamford Bridge this season.
Loftus-Cheek, who has 10 England caps, spent last term on loan at Fulham. He also had a spell with Crystal Palace a few seasons ago.

But Thomas Tuchel has handed him six appearances so far in 2021/22, including two starts in the Premier League.
Loftus-Cheek has been linked with a move to Newcastle before.
The 25-year-old was reportedly a loan target for the club in the summer of 2020.
A move did not materialise then, but it seems Newcastle remain keen and it will be interesting to see if any offer is forthcoming in January.
Loftus-Cheek would be great addition to Newcastle squad
Loftus-Cheek would be a brilliant addition for Newcastle and it’s not unrealistic to think he would come.
The star is currently getting minutes at Stamford Bridge, but there is every chance he would like a fresh start.
At Newcastle, he could be the main man in midfield.

In recent weeks he has served a real reminder of what a cracking ball-carrier he is.
A recent report from The Athletic stated a source claimed Tuchel had told Loftus-Cheek that he was ‘special’.
He has the rare ability to take the ball through the lines and shrug off challenges, going from box to box.
Him operating with Joe Willock and and out-and-out defensive midfielder would make for a very exciting Newcastle midfield.
