Newcastle are open to selling Florian Lejuene this summer, according to a report from Spain.
Noticias de Álava claim that Alaves are keen on bringing the defender back on another loan deal this summer.
He spent the whole of last season on loan there, and his last Newcastle start was in February 2020.
But Newcastle would apparently prefer to sell the 30-year-old this summer.

The issue is that Alaves apparently aren’t willing to pay a fee for Lejeune, despite the fact he impressed on loan with them last term.
Lejeune may well be an impasse unless another suitor comes forward in the transfer window.
The report says he has already started pre-season training so perhaps he can force his way back into Steve Bruce’s plans.
There’s no indication in the report on his preference in terms of his next move.

He would be a fantastic option if he can get himself back fit and into Bruce’s first team.
It remains to be seen if either of those things prove to be true. At this stage of his career, he just needs to be playing regularly.
