Dragusin is knocking on Andrea Pirlo’s door for first-team opportunities at the moment.

The Romanian youth international made his debut for the club in late 2020, but has been unable to force his way into the starting XI.

In total he’s turned out four times for the first-team so far, but clearly the player has been given assurances about his game time in 2021/22.

It’s claimed that Juve do have faith in Dragusin and are prepared to help him unlock his potential.

Goal say the new deal for Dragusin – said to be worth €250,000/£215,000 – should arrive before the end of March.

The news comes after Newcastle were claimed to be interested in snapping Dragusin up on a free transfer (Calciomercato).

No surprises

They might be struggling at the moment, but they are obviously a heavyweight club many players dream of playing for.

Both Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini are coming to the end of their careers so it seems he’ll be trusted to play more often.

And with Newcastle in complete disarray, it is even less surprising he wants to extend with Juve.
