Newcastle United could be set to miss out on Olivier Ntcham today, with Marseille reportedly submitting a loan offer for the midfielder.
RMC Sport are reporting that the Celtic star is wanted by Andre Villas-Boas, who lost Morgan Sanson earlier in the window to Aston Villa.

The club are in negotiations with the Scottish giants and are hopeful of sealing a deal for the player before the deadline.
The news comes after Newcastle were linked with a loan move of their own for Ntcham (Sky Sports), who is keen to leave the club.
Ntcham came close to an exit during the last transfer window, but was denied a move to Brest (Sky Sports).
The former Manchester City youngster has made 14 appearances in the Scottish Premiership so far this season, but has not featured since Boxing Day.
Ntcham would have been decent signing
He isn’t such a popular figure for a lot of Celtic supporters, but there is no denying Ntcham’s talent on the ball.

The star, on his day, is one of the best players in Scotland – if not the best.
He would have been a superb addition for Newcastle who are crying out for someone with a bit of technical quality and drive in central midfield.
Anything can happen on transfer deadline day, but for right now it seems he could be heading back to his homeland.
