Newcastle United-linked Jesse Lingard will reportedly be allowed to leave Manchester United on loan this month.
ESPN claim Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has reluctantly sanctioned the player’s temporary exit, and the final decision now lies with the board.

Lingard has slipped back into the shadows at Old Trafford in 2020/21, and has made just three appearances so far this term.
Initially Solskjaer had been keen to keep the 28-year-old, but after talks with the player, has now agreed he should be allowed to leave.
Lingard may feel that, with the European Championships scheduled for this summer, a move elsewhere to get regular minutes would be the best decision.

ESPN add that Lingard is keen to stay in the Premier League, despite interest from abroad.
Newcastle are said to be interested in the player, with 90min reporting earlier this month that Lingard was one of a few players being lined up in loan by the Magpies.
The Times also claimed there was interest last summer.
The encouragement Newcastle need
That Solskjaer is now apparently happy to let £100,000-a-week star Lingard (Spotrac) should give Newcastle encouragement to act on their interest.

Time is running out for the club to do something in the transfer window, and Lingard is clearly available.
Over the past couple of months especially there has been a serious lack of creativity, and Lingard is someone that is worth taking a punt on given what’s at stake for him personally.
