Langley joined the club a few years ago after almost giving up on football altogether after a string of trials.

The 19-year-old has worked hard, and is now a regular trainer with the first-team.

According to the Chronicle, Newcastle could now loan Langley out for next term.

At this stage there is no mention of any potential suitors.

It’s important he gets the right move in order to realise his exciting potential.

He’s already come in for praise from Martin Dubravka, who said of the 19-year-old last year(nufc.co.uk): “I think Dan has improved a lot in the last year and it is good for him that he is part of the first team.

“You can clearly see that working with Simon (Smith, Head of Goalkeeping) is exactly what he needs. He is a great young lad as well and he has a great future in front of him.”

Karl Darlow has also talked Langley up, describing him as having ‘a great mentality’.

The right move is vital

Langley is clearly a young player with a very bright future ahead of him.

But it’s important – if he is to go out on loan – that Newcastle get the right club for him.

There needs to be assurances he’ll play.

Regular game time has done wonders for Freddie Woodman.

There’s no reason why he can’t enjoy a similar kind of development.
