Newcastle United manager Steve Bruce is reportedly set for a number of meetings in due course about transfers this summer.
With Premier League safety assured, focus is now turning to the summer and what the plan of action will be.

Funds will apparently be tight, and it is expected a number of free transfers on loan deals will be sanctioned.
But The Athletic say Bruce will make sure to highlight the impact Callum Wilson made for Newcastle this season.
Wilson, 28, arrived at St. James’ Park last year for a reported fee of around £20 million.

That move was a deviation from their transfer blueprint, but Wilson ultimately proved well worth the money, scoring 12 Premier League goals in 26 games.
More Wilson-esque deals required
Newcastle need to try and bring in more players who can make an instant impact like Wilson has.
It’s huge to have players who have been in the Premier League for a while, and have proven track records in the competition.

It’s always good to be shrewd with free transfers and loan deals, but it is paramount that Newcastle do dig deep for a marquee signing or two.
Failure to do so will likely result in another relegation battle rather than kicking on.
