Newcastle United owner Mike Ashley will apparently give Steve Bruce £50 million to spend this summer.
The Sun claim the figure is a reward for Bruce for keeping the club up last season.

In the end, Newcastle’s survival mission wasn’t too much trouble.
The club secured their Premier League status, with a Fulham, West Bromwich Albion and Sheffield United wrapping up the relegation battle at the earliest ever stage.
The Sun’s claim comes days after rumours were floating around that Newcastle have a £12 million budget (via Shields Gazette).
The report suggests £30 million-rated Joe Willock is likely to be a priority, with Nat Phillips also a potential incoming at around £10 million.
Willock, of course, is the player everyone wants after his stunning impact on loan at St. James’ Park.
Could be better, but more like it
It feels unlikely that Ashley will hand a £50 million warchest to Bruce, but hopefully that is the case.

It still wouldn’t be a huge amount, but one has to factor in the challenges presented by the pandemic.
But it’s a decent amount to make improvments to the team.
It’s just about whether recruitment officials can get it right this summer.
