Newcastle United’s hopes of signing Tammy Abraham on loan may have been dashed following a new report about the English striker.
According to the Telegraph, Chelsea still have hope of signing Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund this summer.

But the Norway international will not come cheap.
The Blues could reportedly offer Abraham as a sweetener plus cash, although it’s not clear if Dortmund would have interest in the 23-year-old.
It is potentially a blow for Newcastle, with the club reportedly making Abraham a loan target this summer.

The Northern Echo said recently that both he and Billy Gilmour were on the Magpies’ radar.
Chelsea have sent a striker on loan to Dortmund before, with Michy Batshuayi enjoying a good spell back in 2018.
Abraham to Newcastle deal feels unlikely
Abraham moving to Dortmund as part of a deal to take Haaland to Stamford Bridge is not totally out of the question.
But even if that didn’t come to fruition, the chances of Newcastle landing Abraham are probably slim.

It seems Chelsea would rather offload the star rather than loan him out.
And with previous claims of a £40 million valuation, that is simply out of Newcastle’s price range.
