Attention will soon turn back to the transfer window for Newcastle United.
Now the Carabao Cup celebrations are over and done with, Newcastle United have a job to do in the Premier League.
They currently sit sixth in the Premier League table but the top five could be enough to secure Champions League qualification next season, which would be another huge boost for the club.
After that’s done and dusted, full focus will be on summer signings.
Indeed, Newcastle think they are through the worst of their PSR issues, which should hopefully lead to much more activity this summer after a relatively fallow period on the incomings front at St James’ Park.
They are constantly being linked with a move for a new right winger, including Chelsea star and England international Noni Madueke.
Thankfully, it seems there has been a fresh development there.

Newcastle handed Noni Madueke transfer boost
Newcastle have been linked with Madueke for a while now, though at Stamford Bridge he remains.
However, according to GIVEMESPORT, Chelsea could soon make a U-turn.
They suggest the Blues are starting to give at least some indications that they would be willing to sell the 23-year-old.
The report says Chelsea paid £30million to buy the forward from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023, and that they would be prepared to cash in should an offer emerge that would allow the Blues to make a marginal profit.
It should be noted that Aston Villa are also said to be keen and they are reportedly ready to rival any interest from Newcastle.
Noni Madueke’s stats compared to Newcastle United star Jacob Murphy
Jacob Murphy – the current incumbent of Newcastle’s starting berth in Madueke’s position – has his critics but has certainly played a big role this season.
Still, that’s not to suggest Newcastle couldn’t at least strengthen their squad with the signing of Madueke, who of course also offers much more in the way of long-term value.
| Stat | Jacob Murphy | Noni Madueke |
| Age | 30 | 23 |
| Starts (Premier League only) | 21 | 14 |
| Goals | 5 | 7 |
| Assists | 8 | 3 |
| Shots (per game) | 1.3 | 2.8 |
| Key passes (per game) | 1.1 | 1 |
| Dribbles (per game) | 0.9 | 1.2 |
As is noted above, Madueke beats Murphy for goals this season, albeit it’s the other way around for assists. Delving deeper into the numbers, the Newcastle man edges it for key passes per game, but the Chelsea player beats him for shots and dribbles over the same period.
At 23, Madueke would be an interesting option on the right wing to cover and compete with Murphy in equal measure.
