The St James’ Park natives will embark on a key summer of spending under Eddie Howe ahead of the Magpies’ return to the Champions League. Newcastle last played in UEFA’s premier club competition during the 2003/04 campaign. But Howe led the Toon to fourth in the 2022/23 Premier League term.

Sven Botman and Alexander Isak arrived in the summer and would strike key roles in the Magpies’ top-four finish. But Howe must now build on those ideal deals to also succeed in Europe.
