Newcastle United have reportedly reached an agreement with Arsenal over the permanent transfer of Joe Willock.
It is the news Toon fans have been praying would come, after his fantastic loan spell last season.

Willock was today left out of Arsenal’s squad to face Tottenham Hotspur in a pre-season friendly.
After the game, Gunners boss Mikel Arteta hinted something might be happening behind closed doors.
It seems that has been the case.
The Athletic now say Newcastle have agreed to sign for a fee in excess of £20 million.
Personal terms still need to be agreed.
But hopefully there will be no hitches, as Willock had nothing but great things to say during his time at the club last term.
Get it done and move on quickly
This is fantastic news, but it’s not done yet.

Newcastle need to get this over the line now as quickly as possible so that the club can move onto other targets.
Newcastle’s squad still needs a couple more new faces, and it’s paramount finalising the Willock transfer doesn’t take too long.
On social media, many Toon fans were obviously delighted by the claim about Willock:
