Anthony Martial wants to leave Manchester United, following recent transfer links with Newcastle United.
The French forward has hardly featured for the Red Devils in recent times.
This term, he has made just 10 appearances across all competitions.
The summer signings of Cristiano Ronaldo and Jadon Sancho have not helped his cause. He also has the likes of Edinson Cavani, Mason Greenwood and Marcus Rashford for competition.
Martial was linked with Newcastle earlier this month.
The Sun had claimed the Magpies were ready to make the former Monaco youngster their first big-name arrival next month.
They reported it could be a £6 million loan deal.
Well, it looks like Martial will be playing his football at a different club soon, with new Manchester United interim manager Ralf Rangnick confirming the player wants out.
He said, ahead of the two teams’ Premier League clash tonight: “We spoke at length on Wednesday.
“He explained to me he’s been at Manchester United now for the last seven years and he feels it’s the right time for a change, to go somewhere else.
“I think in a way this is understandable, I could follow his thoughts but on the other hand, it’s also important to see the situation of the club.”

This is an interesting development.
Whether Newcastle decided to make a loan move for the player remains to be seen.
In all honesty, it would be a big risk from Newcastle to move for Martial, a player who has not had regular football for a while now.
He is a naturally gifted player, who has done some brilliant things at Old Trafford.
But he has also drawn criticism for lacking consistency.
