Newcastle United won’t hesitate to make a move for Lens midfielder Seko Fofana this summer.
According to a report from Le10 Sport today, the Magpies are set to challenge Paris Saint-Germain for the Ivory Coast international.

Fofana has enjoyed a fine season so far.
Lens are having a solid season, and currently sit ninth in Ligue 1 having taken 37 points from their 25 games.
Fofana has been at the heart of everything good from Lens, contributing nine goals and one assist so far.
That’s a great return considering he operates as a box-to-box midfielder.
According to the report from Le10 Sport, PSG are casting their eye over Fofana, as well as Paul Pogba, who stands to leave Manchester United as a free agent.
Supposedly though, Newcastle are also looking to make a swoop and ‘won’t hesitate’ to get the checkbook out.

At the moment of course, Newcastle’s midfield is in brilliant shape.
Jonjo Shelvey, Joe Willock and Joelinton have all been superb in recent weeks.
So much so that new signing Bruno Guimaraes is still yet to start a game for his new club after sealing a move from Lyon in January.
Despite that though, Newcastle will be active this summer – and any move for Fofana should be welcomed.
Seko Fofana can help take Newcastle’s midfielder to the next level
There is an irony in reading about Newcastle having interest in a midfielder, given it’s probably the strongest area of the starting XI right now.
But the club making a move for Fofana this summer is something worth getting excited about.
He is a superb player and regularly stands out as Lens’ captain.

He is a real force, and loves the carry the ball over great distances to get the team up the field.
And of course, he has an eye for goal which is always good. Shelvey, Joelinton and Willock have all found the net recently but between them they’ve only managed six this season.
