Newcastle United are reportedly showing interest in Ecuadorian defender Piero Hincapie.
According to a report from Diairo de Sevilla today, the Magpies are in the frame to land the 19-year-old.

Hincapie has caught the eye playing for Argentine outfit Club Atletico Talleres. He joined them last year.
Hincapie has a contract with the club until 2025, but is already being tipped to move on.
Diario de Sevilla’s main focus for their article is on the fact that Real Betis are keen.

The Spanish outfit are eyeing a defender with experience. West Ham United’s Fabian Balbeuna is mentioned. They also want someone with promise; Hincapie.
Newcastle get a brief mention, as do Atletico Madrid.
Hincapie recently made his debut at the Cope America for the senior Ecuador side. He played a full 90 minutes in a 1-0 loss to Colombia.
