Newcastle United are reportedly ready to come to the table for Franck Kessie this summer.
According to La Repubblica, the Magpies are looking to make a move for the 52-cap Ivory Coast international, who stands to leave AC Milan as a free agent at the end of the season.

Kessie has been with Milan since 2019, but it looks as though his stint with the Rossoneri could be coming to an end.
The player was actually booed in the 1-0 win over Sampdoria at the weekend. That undoubtedly casts doubt on him staying beyond the summer
Apparently Newcastle are ready to make a go of signing the 25-year-old and would not be put off by his wage demands.
Supposedly, Kessie would hope to bank around £5 million per season.
It remains to be seen if Kessie will finally make a move to the Premier League. He is someone that has frequently been linked with the English top-flight over the past few years.
It isn’t just Newcastle who are eyeing the former Atalanta dynamo though. Manchester United and Liverpool are also said to be in the hunt.
Franck Kessie would be a smashing signing on a free for Newcastle
First and foremost, Newcastle need to retain their Premier League status to stand any chance of getting Kessie this summer. He simply isn’t going to play in the Championship.
If Newcastle can do that, then making a play for Kessie would be a great move.
The club have just signed Bruno Guimaraes, who is more of a technician.

Kessie is more of a ball-carrier, and would potentially make a great partner for Joelinton, with Guimaraes in behind them.
There are a lot of great midfielders out there, many of whom would cost a fortune.
But there are still lots of players out there would make for cracking free signings. Kessie being one of them.
