Newcastle United have today signed three young players to bolster their youth academy.
The Magpies have brought in Remi Savage, Charlie Wiggett and Cameron Ferguson, son of Everton legend and ex-Magpie, Duncan.
The trio will join up with Chris Hogg and Peter Ramage’s U23 side.
It comes after Newcastle took the decision to release a host of players at the end of 2020/21.

Savage arrives after running down his contract at Liverpool, with Newcastle supposedly paying £250,000 in compensation.
Wiggett joins after a spell at Chelsea, and Ferguson signs from Tranmere Rovers.
Steve Harper, who recently became the club’s Interim Academy Manager, said: “Cameron is technically good and there’s still a lot to come from him physically.
“In Charlie, we see real leadership qualities and we’ve been impressed by what we’ve seen of Remi.”
Encouraging verdict from Harper
Newcastle’s academy has been somewhat underwhelming in recent years.

Fans have been disappointed with the lack of players coming through and actually making an impact for the first-team.
Hopefully, Savage, Wiggett and Ferguson can all quickly prove their worth before getting promotions to the first-team.
Harper’s comments certainly suggest they all have talent.
