Newcastle United are reportedly planning a summer move for Lloyd Kelly.
According to The Mirror (06/02, pg 65), the Magpies could make a new push for the Championship star, who was the subject of interest from Eddie Howe last month.

Supposedly Newcastle sounded him out as a possible target.
But Bournemouth were reluctant to let him leave mid-season.
Howe’s former club are currently vying for promotion back to the Premier League.
Kelly, 23, is an important player for them, and it is little wonder the south coast club didn’t want to lose him as they attempt to return to the top-flight.
He’s been brilliant for them, and a key component of the meanest defence in the division.

It seems Newcastle could still be interested in Kelly this summer, but the Mirror suggest Newcastle would need to retain their Premier League status in order to land him.
Of course, Howe knows Kelly well from his time as manager at the Vitality Stadium.
It remains to be seen whether he will be able to reunite with the 23-year-old.
Lloyd Kelly would be a good signing for Newcastle this summer, regardless of division
News of Newcastle planning a potential swoop on Kelly this summer should be music to Toon fans’ ears.
He is a very promising player, whom Howe already rates highly.
Staying in the Premier League will obviously improve Newcastle’s chances of getting him.

But there is potential for the club to still get him even in the event of relegation. Especially if Bournemouth don’t achieve promotion.
He obviously knows the Championship very well. He would potentially make a very good signing if Newcastle were to slip into the second division.
Hopefully that won’t be the case though, and Newcastle will sign Kelly as a Premier League club.
