Newcastle United are reportedly considering a last-gasp swoop for Ousmane Dembele.
The Magpies now have less than 48 hours to conduct their transfer business.

At the time of writing, just two players have signed for the club this month in Kieran Trippier and Chris Wood.
It is thought an announcement on Bruno Guimaraes could be imminent though, with reports suggested he passed his medical yesterday (Sky Sports).
Dembele does not have a future at Barcelona, who have told the player to leave.
Barca are hopeful of shifting him, as doing so is important for them in the context of doing other deals.
Apparently the Catalan giants are trying to land Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Arsenal.
Barca have pretty much already replaced Dembele, officially signing Adama Traore on loan from Wolves yesterday.

According to Marca, Newcastle are one of three teams who are currently active over Dembele. Manchester United and Chelsea are also said to be ‘actively considering’ a late swoop for the France international.
Newcastle were linked with a move for Dembele shortly after the takeover went though. The club have been loosely linked with him since.
It remains to be seen if Newcastle feel there is value to be had with Dembele.
The 24-year-old is a sensational player, but the star’s injury record would make him a big risk.
Newcastle would be taking a big risk signing Dembele
So Newcastle are seemingly one of three teams who could be unveiling Dembele as a new player before Monday night’s deadline.
This really would be some story.
Dembele is a huge name, and Newcastle luring him to St. James’ Park would be a major deal.

But it really would be a big risk for the Magpies, who need players the come in and hit the ground running and be available.
Dembele has missed a lot of football during his time at Barca. It would not be a good look if he signed and was to get another injury.
