Newcastle United have been sniffing around Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani with a view to a summer move, but now the club’s CEO has slapped a whopping price tag on the forward.
90min have reported that Frankfurt CEO Axel Hallmann has said that anybody interested in signing Randal Kolo Muani in the summer will have to start their negotiations at €90million (around £80million).
The France international has had a magnificent season in the Bundesliga scoring 13 goals and providing 12 assists in 29 outings. In 13 appearances in other competitions, including the Champions League, he has managed a further eight goals and three assists.

It’s no wonder Frankfurt are so keen to keep hold of the 24-year-old.
He even impressed for France in the World Cup with Jermain Jenas calling his contribution to the team, ‘brilliant‘.

90mins reports that Kolo Muani is hot property with many clubs keen to add him to their squad with Manchester United, Arsenal and Newcastle the main contenders in England, as well as admirers in France, Spain and Italy. However, it’s believed that Bayern Munich currently lead the race for the versatile forward having held talks with his representatives.

Newcastle are looking for options in the forward line, mostly on the flanks hence looking at the likes of James Maddison and Moussa Diaby.
Kolo Muani can play anywhere across the front-three which certainly adds value, but whether Newcastle will be prepared to drop £80million on one player with so many other less expensive options out there remains to be seen.
