Fabriziano Romano has claimed that Newcastle United have been made aware of the time limit placed on Kim Min-Jae’s release clause.
Mr Transfers himself, Fabrizio Romano has tweeted that Newcastle and Manchester United have been made aware that Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae‘s release clause will only be active in July.
The South Korean defender, hailed as ‘the best centre-back in the world‘ by departing Napoli boss, Luciano Spalletti is wanted by many of Europe’s top clubs after a superb season helping Napoli to the Serie A title.
Kim Min-Jae’s release clause has a two-week window
Newcastle have been credited with an interest in bringing the Kim Min Jae, 26, to Tyneside as Eddie Howe looks to add more depth in his defence, and with his release clause setting his price at £43million, Newcastle could land themselves a real bargain.

The clause is only active for the first two weeks in July so it’s likely Min-Jae’s agent is going to have an extremely busy fortnight as a hoard of European clubs make their offers of personal details having activated the clause.
That is of course, unless another club comes along and pays over the odds this month to get ahead of the pack, but that’s highly unlikely to happen.
It would be a huge statement if Newcastle could beat the competition
As much as I’d love to see Kim Min-Jae pulling on the black and white stripes next season, I think this one will be beyond us this summer.
Our reputation is on the rise for sure, but there’ll be offers from more established clubs that will appeal to Kim more. Manchester United, Liverpool and PSG are just three clubs who will be throwing their hat in the ring. Even without Champions League football next season, Liverpool will be seen as an exciting prospect.
This one just feels more like one of those links where our name is being mentioned to drive up a player’s worth, a move to panic other clubs into making higher offers to try and stave off the mega-rich Magpies.
I hope I’m wrong though.
