Victor Osimhen may be out of Newcastle United’s reach this summer but Adama Bojang has been likened to the Napoli star and the Magpies could swoop for him instead.
After starring for Gambia in the U20 World Cup this summer, Adama Bojang has found himself on the wish list of many a prestigious club according to The Guardian and could costs as little as £2.6million. Newcastle have just added their name to the list of interested parties.
The 19-year-old, who currently plays for Gambian side Steve Biko FC, has caught the attention of several Premier League and Bundesliga clubs including Manchester United, Chelsea, RB Leipzig and Frankfurt among others.

Standing at 6’3″ Bojang has been nicknamed the “Gambian Hurricane” while drawing comparisons to Victor Osimhen.
Thanks to a recent rule change, English clubs can now sign Bojang without having to worry too much about work permits as clubs are now allowed to sign up to four players who don’t qualify automatically for work permits.
This looks like a Dan Ashworth signing if ever there was one – young, hungry and extremely talented.
Newcastle could sign Bojang and loan him to a German club next season
The issue will be convincing him to join Newcastle over all of his other suitors, especially as early reports claim he’d prefer a move to Germany. The easy way to remedy that, of course, is to sign him this summer and loan him to Germany for a season.
It’s unlikely that if Newcastle were to make a move for Bojang it would be to throw him into the first-team next season, so a loan move would be on the cards anyway. It’s a win-win situation.
I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this one over the summer to see where he ends up if not Newcastle, he sounds like a cracking prospect.
