Newcastle United are looking to get rid of Isaac Hayden and Jeff Hendrick on transfer deadline day, and they could be followed out of the door by another Toon player.
The midfield duo are being linked with loan moves to Championship side Sheffield Wednesday. It is vital that they leave the club before the transfer window closes at 11pm tonight.
However, one player whose future is less pressing but is still up in the air is Javi Manquillo.
He has been linked with leaving Newcastle this summer, with clubs in Spain reportedly keen on signing the ‘terrific‘ 29-year-old right-back.
It has been claimed that Eddie Howe would like to keep Manquillo at St James’ Park, and that any decision will rest with the player. It will be up to Manquillo as to whether or not he wants to leave, and it sounds like he will need to make up his mind very soon.

Javi Manquillo has Newcastle decision to make on deadline day
According to The Telegraph’s Luke Edwards (live blog, 10:11am), Newcastle have received late interest in Manquillo. However, it is unclear at this moment in time who is interested in signing the Spaniard.
Manquillo is back in training after a spell out with injury, having not played too much football for Newcastle during pre-season. He has had limited chances to prove his worth, while added competition in his position has arrived following the signing of Tino Livramento.

With that in mind, it would perhaps be wise if Manquillo did leave Newcastle on deadline day. He is going to really struggle for minutes at St James’ Park, even with the increased number of games due to competing in the Champions League.
He has been a solid player during his six years on Tyneside, having been bought by Rafa Benitez in 2017 for £4.5million. But now is perhaps the right time to say goodbye, and it will be interesting to see whether or not Manquillo does leave between now and 11pm tonight.
