Dan Ashworth has already made his mind up about what Newcastle United are going to do with Garang Kuol next season.
Newcastle signed the teenager at the start of the year, and pretty much immediately loaned him out to Hearts.
It looked like a sensible move, as there were some Australian players there who would help Kuol settle in. However, he has seriously struggled for minutes up in Scotland.
It has led to concern from Newcastle fans, who have been less than impressed with Hearts’ use of the 18-year-old.
But it will have been an important few months for Kuol, who appears to be set for another temporary move away from St James’ Park.
Newcastle are going to send Garang Kuol out on loan again
According to the Athletic, Newcastle plan to send Kuol out on loan again next season. The report adds that both the club and the player want to get a deal sorted early so he can make the most of pre-season.
The Athletic add that the Magpies have not decided what league to send him to, but still see the appeal in him joining a British club.
That would make sense, as he needs to acclimatise to the football culture in this part of the world. He is still growing as a person, as well as a footballer.
Kuol is still developing
Obviously the move to Hearts has not gone completely to plan, but it will have been beneficial to Kuol. He is still incredibly young and vastly inexperienced.
The youngster has experienced a lot of highs over the past year: Representing his country at the World Cup, scoring his first ever international goal, joining a Premier League club.
But there have been lows too. Some of his Socceroos performances have been criticised, while he has failed to force his way into the Hearts side.
It is all a learning curve for Kuol, who is a player with a huge amount of potential. That is why Newcastle signed him, and the club already have a plan in mind for next season.
He will hopefully become a future star at St James’ Park, but it does not look like he will be on Tyneside next season.
