Newcastle United fans have been reacting to reports that the club could soon open negotiations with Benfica over a possible transfer for Nuno Tavares.
It was claimed yesterday by Record that the Magpies could be set to act on their interest in the player soon.
Initial contact has apparently already been made between the two clubs.
Tavares is said to be on the radar of Newcastle, but he’s also supposedly being tracked by a few other clubs including Burnley and Napoli.
Newcastle are said to have tried to find out if Benfica would be willing to cash in on the young full-back this summer.
It’s been claimed previously that Ruben Vinagre of Wolverhampton Wanderers is of interest to them, and that particular deal could have bearing on whether Tavares is sold.
