Newcastle United fans have been reacting to a report that Arsenal could hike their asking price for Joe Willock.

The Mirror claimed yesterday that the Gunners could seek to capitalise on the 21-year-old’s brilliant form.

Willock is coming in clutch for Newcastle at the moment, and has scored a goal in each of the Magpies’ last three matches as a substitute.

He’s up to four for the club since his arrival on loan in January, and plenty of people want to see him signed permanently.

One gets the feeling Willock would be open to staying at the club given the way he spoke after the 1-1 draw with Liverpool.

But things could be complicated this summer, with the Mirror reporting that there is no option to buy in place for the player.

Essentially, if Willock keeps up this kind of form until the end of the season, then his value could potentially increase beyond what Newcastle would be able to afford.

It is thought his value is currently somewhere around the £20 million mark.

On social media, fans have been giving their takes on the Mirror’s report, and it seems plenty are pessimistic about Willock turning his stint at St. James’ Park permanent.
