Newcastle United fans have been reacting to a transfer claim linking Conor Coady to St. James’ Park.
Yesterday the Magpies drew 1-1 with Crystal Palace, meaning the club are still without a victory this season. They are also still without a clean sheet in the Premier League.

The defence is worryingly porous this term.
Only Norwich City (23) have conceded more than Newcastle’s 20.
Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher recently suggested the Toon backline was Championship standard.
There is undoubtedly a need to strengthen at the back in January if Newcastle are going to stay in the Premier League come May 2022.
The transfer link to Coady is interesting.

Obviously, he is the captain of Wolverhampton Wanderers, where he has been since 2015.
The 28-year-old signed a new contract with the club last year until 2025.
The Sun say Newcastle’s new owners are keen on Coady, who would cost upwards of £20 million to sign.
Interestingly, Coady recently appeared on talkSPORT for an interview, in which he called Newcastle an ‘absolutely incredible football club’.
Coady has started every game for Wolves so far this season, and last year he made his debut for England and ultimately went to the Euros this summer. He has seven caps to his name to date.
