Newcastle United fans have been reacting to reports Sean Longstaff is being targeted by Everton.
Apparently, Everton have made an offer for the 24-year-old midfielder (Sky Sports).

The Toffees, of course, are managed by Rafa Benitez, who worked with Longstaff at St. James’ Park.
The Spaniard is keen to reunite with him, with the player’s contract expiring at the end of the season.
The claim comes amid talk that Newcastle are keen to sign Lucas Digne, who has reportedly had a falling out with Benitez.
Longstaff started the current season brightly, but lost momentum are Steve Bruce neared the end of his tenure.
It took Longstaff a bit of time to get a chance under new manager Eddie Howe.

Howe didn’t use him in his first five games in charge, and he didn’t even make the squad against Leicester City.
But Longstaff did get a cameo against Manchester City, and then started against Manchester United.
The Chronicle have reported that Newcastle are calm about Longstaff’s contract situation. And that also goes for the player and his representatives.
Talks have not been a priority given the Covid situation at the club.
Interestingly, journalist Miles Starforth reports that Newcastle have actually rejected a bid from Everton for Longstaff. And he says that Newcastle hope to agree an extension for the player
