Newcastle United could already have a transfer target lined up for next summer’s transfer window according to Ben Jacobs.
If all goes well this season Newcastle will once again be competing in the Champions League again next term, or at least some form of European competition.
With that in mind, it’s imperative that the club continues to buy quality players to flesh out the squad in order to sustainably compete on all fronts.
Ben Jacobs says Newcastle could move for Jarrod Bowen next year
Now according to Ben Jacobs who told Give Me Sport, Newcastle could look to bring in Jarrod Bowen from West Ham next summer.
Jacobs was talking about Liverpool‘s chances of signing Bowen then pivoted to Newcastle saying: “But one thing’s for sure, he’s one to watch next summer in 2024, because there will be plenty of clubs with Champions League football that take a very close look at the player. I think Newcastle is perhaps another club to keep an eye on as well in 12 months time.”

Bowen has been sensational for West Ham in the last couple of years and has even forced his way into Gareth Southgate‘s England side. Liverpool are known to be admirers of Bowen with Jurgen Klopp calling him ‘unbelievable‘.
The winger will be nearing 28 next summer which could put Newcastle off as they tend to recruit with the long-term future in mind, but if Bowen is available then it would be crazy to pass up the opportunity.
Bowen is on fire for West Ham this season
Bowen is on fire this season with three goals in five games for the Hammers already with an assist as a cherry on top.

He’s proved to be a consistent performer and could be a good alternative to Miguel Almiron. The competition for places will also be good for Miggy.
I’m a huge fan of Bowen and even though he’ll be nearly 28 next year, he would still be an amazing addition to the Newcastle squad. Hopefully this is one that pans out.
