Newcastle United plan to do all they can to keep Alexander Isak away from Liverpool and Arsenal.
The 25-year-old is attracting a lot of interest, as he continues to enjoy another spectacular season in the black and white of Newcastle United.
Alexander Isak currently has 24 goals in all competitions, with onlookers describing him as one of the best strikers in world football today. That is why Liverpool want to sign Isak, while Arsenal are keen too.
There has been a lot of speculation about him leaving St James’ Park, despite Newcastle’s desire to keep Isak.

Update on Liverpool wanting to sign Alexander Isak
Despite the rumours, the tide could be turning in the Magpies’ favour.
According to the i Paper, both Liverpool and Arsenal have accepted that it will be ‘fiendishly difficult’ for them sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United this summer.
The report adds that Newcastle are adamant about keeping the Sweden international, and have not even given him an official valuation despite the mounting interest in his signature.
The i Paper state that Newcastle’s Isak stance is resulting in Liverpool and Arsenal looking at alternatives, with both teams showing an interest in RB Leipzig sensation Benjamin Sesko. The Gunners also have Viktor Gyokores on their radar.
Newcastle United’s hope of keeping Alexander Isak is growing
While there has been relentless chatter about Isak leaving Newcastle United, the chances of him actually staying at St James’ Park appear to be increasing.
The Magpies are in a strong position, with the attacker still having three more years left on his current deal. But Newcastle want to extend Isak’s contract further and make him their highest paid player.
A new contract would rule out a summer exit for Isak, while qualifying for the Champions League will also give the Magpies a boost.
Eddie Howe’s side are in a decent position to do just that with eight Premier League games to go. They are fifth right now, but can move up to fourth if they win their game in hand.

To strengthen Newcastle’s position even further, the Premier League will get five Champions League places for next season. That increases the possibility of the Magpies returning to Europe’s elite competition, which in turn will help convince their most expensive player ever to remain on Tyneside.
