Joan Laporta has branded Ousmane Dembele ‘amazing’, as the winger’s contract winds down at the Nou Camp.
The Barcelona president last night gave an interview with RAC1 and spoke about a number of things, including transfers.

Dembele has enjoyed something of a renaissance in recent weeks.
He was heavily linked with an exit from the club in January.
But he ended up staying put. And he’s recently forced his way back into the starting XI under Xavi.
Dembele has knuckled down to provide seven assists in his last five La Liga matches. He also scored in the game against Athletic Bilbao.
Barcelona want to keep hold of Dembele.
But they will not be breaking the bank in order to do that. And Laporta has said that the star needs to accept their salary limits if he wants to prolong his stay at the club.

He said (via Fabrizio Romano): “I really like Dembélé, he’s amazing – we made him a proposal expired on December 20, then if he wants to stay, he has to accept our salary limits.
“We never know what happens with Dembélé and his agent.”
There has been plenty of speculation over the past few weeks ago where Dembele could head if he doesn’t accept Barca’s offer.
Newcastle have been linked with a move for Dembele since the takeover went through in October. Goal claimed the club had been in contact with the star’s agent.
Barcelona would seemingly keep Ousmane Dembele if they could
Barca are clearly being impacted by their financial troubles.
If they weren’t, they would be able to make an improved offer to Dembele.
In recent weeks he has reminded everybody of how talented a footballer he is when he’s playing and in form.

It seems they would very much like to keep him if they could.
But if Dembele wanted to accept he likely would have done so by.
Newcastle need to keep monitoring the situation, to see if he can stay fit and in form until the end of the season. Signing Dembele as a free agent would potentially be hugely exciting.
