Newcastle United’s Rodrigo Vilca has secured a move to Serbian side FK Voždovac for the season which will take him to the end of his contract.
After Isaac Hayden moved clubs after the English transfer deadline he wont be the last to leave the club as The Chronicle has noted that Rodrigo Vilca has made a move to Serbia.
While Newcastle haven’t yet, at the time of writing, acknowledged the move officially, Serbian side FK Voždovac have announced the signing of 24-year-old Rodrigo Vilca a season-long loan.
Rodrigo Vilca arrived at Newcastle as a hot prospect
The Peruvian signed for Newcastle three years ago amid a tonne of promise but has failed to make it anywhere near the first-team in that time.
Attacking midfielder, Vilca spent the first-half of last season on loan at Deportivo Municipal in his native Peru returning to the club to work with the Under-21s for the remainder of the season.

After sealing his move to FK Voždovac, Vilca told the official site: “I had meetings with the president and the coach who made me want to come to Voždovac. It is a wonderful club in a beautiful city, with many young players who want to make serious careers.
Vilca’s Newcastle contract expires at the end of his loan deal
“I have already gained some experience, I have gone through good and bad moments and now I want to contribute to the team to achieve the best possible results. Dedication, effort and hard work is something that I have always provided and that can be expected from me even now.”

While it is yet again another loan move and not a sale, it’s still getting more wages off the books for another year which should all come back around to help Newcastle with Financial Fair Play in the future.
It’s worth noting that Vilca’s Newcastle contract is set to expire on the same day as the one he’s signed at FK Voždovac so he has in effect played his last game for Newcastle.
