Reported Newcastle United transfer target Todd Cantwell produced a fine performance for Norwich City today.

The midfielder was key in the Canaries’ 2-1 win over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsborough, striking the winner with around 15 minutes to go after Teemu Pukki had equalised.

The 24-year-old received the ball on the edge of the area after Emi Buendia had won the ball back, and unleashed a stunning curling effort into the far corner.

The ball kissed the woodwork on the way in for added aesthetic, and that was his fifth of the season.

According to Sofascore statistics, he completed 40/50 (80%) passes, won four of his nine duels, and also made one key pass.

It was not his finest display for the club, but his special second half moment was very much a reminder of how talented a player he is and the quality he can bring.

His performance was his first in Norwich colours since he was linked with a move to Newcastle.
