Tottenham Hotspur fans have been lavishing praise on Oliver Skipp today for his performance in a pre-season friendly against Arsenal.
Spurs took on their bitter north London rivals in the teams’ final game before the new season commences.

In the end, it was Spurs who ran out 1-0 winners. Heung-min Son was the goalscorer late on.
It was a great day for new Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo to be able to hand some early bragging rights to Lilywhites supporters.
It was a good performance from Tottenham against an Arsenal side without Newcastle target Joe Willock.
One man who really caught the eye for the hosts was Oliver Skipp.

Skipp was described by football.london as ‘a constant nuisance’ to Arsenal and ‘a busy presence’.
The English youngster spent last season on loan at Norwich City, but it appears Nuno might be willing to give him a chance.
It remains to be seen what happens, with the Daily Mail reporting interest from Newcastle earlier this week.
Apparently the club have expressed interest in the player.

Bruce wants to bolster his midfield and Willock is the main target, but on the evidence of today, perhaps a move for Skipp should become more of a pressing concern.
On social media, some Spurs fans raved over their man’s showing:
