Who better to ask about Ademola Lookman than Everton fans?
The winger got his big break with the Toffees, arriving at Goodison Park in 2017 for an initial £7.5 million. He immediately impressed, coming off the bench to score on his debut against Manchester City. Sadly that was his only league goal for the club.
Lookman didn’t kick on at Everton, unable to command a place in the starting XI before going on loan to RB Leipzig. He impressed in Germany, but couldn’t translate his Bundesliga form back to the Premier League.
Everton decided to cash in on the youngster last summer, with Leipzig spending £22 million to bring him back to the club. Sadly for him, it hasn’t been the same, making just four appearances before deciding he wants to leave amid interest from Newcastle (Sky Sports).
After seeing Newcastle’s interest in their former player, Everton Twitter account ‘The Gwladys Street’ asked fans whether they’d take Lookman back at Goodison.
It’s fair to say the response was mixed. Some think he’s better than the likes of Alex Iwobi and Theo Walcott, while others claimed an attitude problem is holding him back.
So which Ademola Lookman will Newcastle get if he arrives this month?
Lookman gets mixed reviews from Everton faithful
I’d rather him over iwobi if I’m honest

Nope, another one who didn’t fancy the fight. Swerve.

Be better than Walcott. But wouldn’t take him back as he didn’t want to be here.

On a 6 month loan deal I would. Better than Walcott and Bernard/Richarlison are hit and miss this season.

Wouldn’t touch him, all of these managers can’t be wrong

100% yes – should never have been allowed to leave. Easily gets in ahead of Walcott, who has to go now, and Iwobi, who has proved to be a dreadful signing (so far)

Four managers didn’t fancy him. He’s kicked off after half a season there. I think we have our answer

Unfortunately doesn’t seem to have the attitude to match his potential. Such a waste of talent! Obviously don’t want him back @Everton but wish things had gone differently
