One of the reasons why Newcastle United are doing so well in the Premier League this season is because they have a strong and capable attacking unit.
Newcastle star Alexander Isak is one of the best strikers in the Premier League, Anthony Gordon is a superb winger, and Harvey Barnes is another good option for manager Eddie Howe.
Miguel Almiron and Jacob Murphy are two other capable wingers, but, like all big and ambitious clubs, Newcastle have an eye on the future as well.

Eddie Howe wants Julien Duranville at Newcastle United
Julien Duranville is not a name that many Newcastle fans will be familiar with, but, according to a report, Howe is interested in a deal for the Borussia Dortmund winger.
Football Transfers has reported that Newcastle are very keen on signing Duranville. The 18-year-old winger has had injury problems, but that has not deterred the Magpies.
Howe personally wants to bring Duranville to St. James’ Park. Newcastle believe that the Belgium international could eventually take over from Anthony Gordon in the coming years.
Newcastle, though, are not the only club who have taken an interest in Duranville. Football Transfers has claimed that Bayern Munich are also looking into the possibility of signing the winger.
Who is Newcastle United target Julien Duranville?
Duranville is one of the best young players in mainland Europe and has been on the books of Dortmund since January 2023.
The winger made the move to the German club after impressing at Anderlecht. He is a left-winger by trade, but the teenager is able to operate on the right flank as well.
Duranville has had injury problems during his time at Dortmund. The teenager has played only 36 minutes in the Bundesliga and just 42 minutes in the UEFA Champions League so far this campaign.
In October 2023, The Guardian named him among 60 of the best young talents in world football, noting that the teenager’s best qualities are his pace and acceleration.
Duranville has previously said that he idolises Ousmane Dembélé and Jadon Sancho, both of whom played for Dortmund.
The winger said on Dortmund’s official website: “I think it’s fantastic how young players are developed here. I’ve been a fan of Ousmane Dembélé since I was a little boy. I love the way he plays soccer and back then I really wanted to know which club was behind it. That’s how I first really became aware of BVB. The final argument was Jadon Sancho. A great footballer and, like Dembélé and me, he’s at home on the wing,”
