Newcastle United manager Eddie Howe still wants more in the transfer market.
Despite an awful lot of noise, this is starting to look like a positive summer for Newcastle United – with one obvious caveat.
The Alexander Isak situation still needs sorting out but Newcastle at least have a striker through the door in the form of the sizeable Nick Woltemade.
Geordie Boot Boys understands that Newcastle still want to sign another striker. It remains to be seen if they allow Isak to go without having signed one, if at all.
Speaking after Newcastle drew 0-0 with Leeds on Saturday, Howe provided an update.

Eddie Howe confirms Newcastle United want to sign another player
The Newcastle United manager confirmed that the club were still actively in the market for one more player.
Woltemade became the fifth senior signing Newcastle have made this summer, after Anthony Elanga, Aaron Ramsdale, Malick Thiaw and Jacob Ramsey.
Still, Newcastle want another addition – and that is widely thought to be a striker.
“We are still looking to actively recruit,” he said.
“I’d love to [sign] one more player, just to get the full strength I think we need.”
Alexander Isak surely offered chance to go to Liverpool
If Newcastle are after another forward, it would perhaps suggest that they are willing to sell Isak at this stage.
It’s incredibly difficult to imagine the club breaking records to land Woltemade, sign another striker and still keep an unhappy Isak at the club.
Newcastle’s statement on Isak did suggest there were some “conditions” for a sale. If they can further strengthen their frontline, perhaps cashing in on Isak would be wise.
It would be a shame to be bullied into selling a player but, clearly, he doesn’t want to be here.
Banking a huge sum of money while signing two strikers makes sense. To that end, Newcastle keep being linked with Jorgen Strand Larsen and Yoane Wissa of Wolves and Brentford respectively.
An awful lot needs to happen during a limited time remaining in the window.
