Some Crystal Palace fans have been reacting to a report that has claimed Newcastle striker Dwight Gayle is eyeing a return to Selhurst Park.
The Sun have reported (10/1, page 53) that the 30-year-old could be set to rejoin the club he left back in 2016.
The Newcastle star is a free agent in the summer, and it remains to be seen if he will be offered fresh terms.
He’s been with the Magpies since the summer of 2016 after signing for around £10 million (BBC Sport) and has made 100 appearances for the club, scoring 34 goals.
In recent times Gayle has struggled with injury, limiting him to just 125 minutes of time on the pitch so far this season.
Apparently, Gayle would be keen to return to Palace if his former club did indeed make a move for him.
