A strike force with no Premier League experience would be a gamble
Having just signed Joelinton who, despite having made a number of appearances in the Bundesliga, has no Premier League experience, bringing another player in with no experience playing in England, would represent a massive risk.
Of course, he could turn out to be one of the finds of the summer, but fans would surely feel more reassured if we were trying to bring in an experienced head, who knows the rigours of the Premier League.
The likes of Danny Welbeck and Andy Carroll have been mentioned, and they would both fit into that category, but at 28 and 30 respectively, their age and injury records are against them.
But having lost Salomon Rondon and Ayoze Perez, we simply must bring more attacking players in, as we are literally one unfortunate injury away from a striker crisis, given the limited number of personnel currently in the squad.
