Arsenal fans have been reacting to a report that has claimed the Gunners are keen on signing Newcastle goalkeeper Freddie Woodman.
According to football.london, the 23-year-old is being tracked by Mikel Arteta, who has watched Runar Runarsson produce a number of shaky displays this season.
The Iceland international was signed as a replacement for Emi Martinez at the Emirates Stadium, but has left a lot to be desired since his move from Dijon.
Woodman is supposedly on Arsenal’s radar, and it’s explained they’ve actually been tracking him since last summer.
Woodman, of course, spent last season at Swansea City and returned to the Liberty Stadium last summer for a second spell.
Having joined Newcastle in 2013, the star has gone on to make just four appearances for the first-team, and currently he has Karl Darlow and Martin Dubravka ahead of him in the pecking order.
The form of Darlow, and the reputation of Dubravka make the chances of an exit from Newcastle this summer pretty reasonable.
On social media, some Arsenal fans have been reacting to the interest in Woodman:
I hope this happens. Just need to see Newcastle & Swansea let him move to Arsenal in January rather than the summer.

He would be a good bit of business. Can’t imagine the price would be too high, saving money for finding our elusive #10.
