Arsenal beat Newcastle to ‘massive’ young player

Newcastle had gotten used to the bigger teams beating them to signings, especially with young players who they would often lose from their own academy to teams with much bigger ambitions.

However, things have changed drastically at Newcastle in the last couple of years are so and they are becoming much more of an attractive club to play for at youth level these days.

That said, they have still just missed out on Clarke who looks to be a top talent and one for the future having already been selected to represent Wales at youth level.

on Clarke, Wolves’ elite development manager Darren Ryan claimed that Clarke was a ‘massive‘ talent who had really impressed internationally where he helped Wales qualify for the U-17 Euros tournament.

Newcastle building something exciting for the future

Newcastle may have not secured the signing of Clarke who they were very keen on, but they still have so many exciting youth prospects and plan to bring many more to the club in the months to come.

The likes of Cathal Heffernan, Trevan Sanusi, Leo Shahar and a number of others have been brought to Newcastle under the new owners who are keen to grow the club in every department.

Looking at Manchester City’s model, they have invested so heavily in their academy that they’ve been able to produce top talents like Phil Foden, Cole Palmer and Ricoh Lewis to name a few, and that’s exactly what Newcastle will be hoping to do.

Fans may not understand it at the minute because it simply doesn’t reflect in the results on the pitch for the first team, but this is with the next 10 years in mind and huge hopes for both the Premier League and Champions League.
