Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah who is being watched by Newcastle United has seen a deadline day move collapse.
Bayern Munich looked set to be taking Trevoh Calobah from Chelsea on loan today but the deal could not be done in time before the German transfer window slammed shut.
The Evening Standard’s Nizaar Kinsella posted on X that: “Bayern Munich will not sign Trevoh Chalobah on loan. He is likely to stay at Chelsea now.”
Newcastle would not be able to loan Chalobah
On Sky Sports News it was mentioned that there’s still interest in Chalobah potentially from Premier League sides.
Nottingham Forest were mentioned as one of those sides, but they, like Newcastle, would have to look at a permanent transfer as both sides currently have a Chelsea player on loan and rules state that a team can’t have two loan players from the same club.

So with Newcastle having Lewis Hall on loan from Chelsea already, it would mean that Eddie Howe would have to spend money to bring in Chalobah.
There’s not likely to be any more incomings at Newcastle
The Newcastle board have been adamant that there’s no more money left in the budget for players this summer and Eddie Howe has said there’d be no more incomings, so a move is highly unlikely.

However, the board have been known to do all they can to misdirect the media and fans so that they can get their business done away from prying eyes.
The Evening Standard reported a couple of days ago that Chelsea wanted £50million for Chalobah which has deterred a lot of clubs, and I imagine that Newcastle will be amongst those clubs that saw that figure and walked away.
