Newcastle United reportedly have a chance to sign Eden Hazard in January.
That’s right, Real Madrid’s Eden Hazard. The Belgian superstar who left Chelsea for an initial £89million in 2019.
The same Eden Hazard that has won two Premier League titles and was named FWA Footballer of the Year, PFA Players’ Player of the Year and Premier League Player of the Year in 2015. That Eden Hazard.
And according to ESPN, the Magpies have been contacted by Real Madrid about possibly signing the 30-year-old in January.

Real Madrid want to raise funds to boost their hopes of signing Erling Haaland and Kylian Mbappe next year, and Newcastle have a load of cash to spend following their Saudi-backed takeover.
The deal has completely turned Newcastle United on its head. Rumours of players coming to St James’ Park have gone crazy, with illustrious names linked each and every day.
Things are so crazy that some people don’t fancy seeing Hazard in the famous black and white stripes…
These fans don’t think Eden Hazard is what Newcastle need right now
What on earth is going on at Newcastle?!
During the summer, we couldn’t afford to sign Hamza Choudhury on loan. Now we’ve got fans who aren’t convinced that Hazard is the kind of player we need at St James’ Park.
The complete shift in mood among fans is quite staggering.
Some of the reasoning behind not wanting Hazard is understandable. He’s not the kind of player you’d want in a relegation fight. But that’s because he’s so good that he’s never had to be in one.
The fact of the matter is that Hazard probably has more talent himself than the entire Newcastle team combined.

It’s not a matter of whether fans want him, the issue is whether he’d want to come.
And why would he?! For all of Newcastle’s wealth, we’re still second bottom in the Premier League.
On his day, Hazard can be one of the best players on the planet. Surely he’ll be able to find himself a new club before having to settle for a move to Newcastle United.
